Scientific Meeting

Shape and Size in Tumor Growth

March  5th, 2003 Torino, Italy

In the scientific community of biologists there is an increasing interest in developing predictive quantitative methods that can accompany the traditional descriptive and statistical analysis of the experimental data. The mathematics could answer this need providing models able to predict biological behavior of systems of increasing complexity by devising first the elementary mechanisms that are at their basis. Aim of this meeting is to provide an informal occasion for discussing and exchanging ideas between biologists and mathematicians that work in this field.
