DEPARTMENT OF
MATHEMATICS PRESENTATION The Department of Mathematics at
the Politecnico di Torino has three main objectives. One is the
promotion and development of research work in basic and applied
mathematics with special emphasis on applied mathematics with reference
to engineering and architecture. Another main objective is to ensure the
smooth running of mathematics courses in all the degree courses of the
Torino campuses, including the degree in Mathematics for Engineering Sciences. Finally,
the Department of Mathematics aims to be a reference point for
mathematics within the Politecnico and beyond, in both the public and
private sectors, providing development services and scientific
consulting services. |
